Dreamland

Dreamland beach is similar in nature to the other beaches in Bukit Peninsula, but it is popular not only with the surfers, also with the beach lovers. It easy access combined with the presence of warungs serving BBQ seasfood and cold cold beer make it attractive to anyone who just wants to get away from the hustle of Kuta life.
This beach have white shore with very beautiful cliff around it. This make Dreamland beach different from other Beach in Bali.
The beach provides basic accommodation and cafes for surfers and day trippers. One of the most beautiful beaches on the island, it is also renowned for its dangerous shore break.



The area has a beautiful beach and panorama, with the high wave reaching 4 meters makes this place become a favorite place for surfers and boogie boards.
The wave is hollow, fasts, and powerful and the quality is standard with reef's (coral, sharp rocks with sand) bottom, can only be safely explore by the experienced surfer. During the normal day, it will be few people do the surf, but at the weekend this place is crowded.
Dreamland is located in the Pecatu countryside around 20 minutes from the Ngurah Rai Airport. There are 2 alternative ways to go to Dreamland. You can either go through the Jimbaran Bay area or pass through the Dwipayana University (a well-known public university in Bali); both ways are easy to follow.

Besakih Temple

Over a thousand years old, Besakih is known as the 'Mother Temple of Bali' , Pura Besakih is the biggest and holiest temple in Bali and is perched nearly 1,000m up the side of Gunung Agung. Besakih is the biggest and holiest of all the Balinese temples. Bali's mother temple stands against a stupendous mountain backdrop on the southeastern slopes of Mount Agung.

Eighteen separate sanctuaries belonging to different regencies and caste groups surround the three main temples dedicated to Shiva, Brahma and Vishnu. To the Balinese, visiting the temple sanctuaries is a special pilgrimage. The mountain top setting gives it an almost mystical quality.
The largest on the island, this massive complex of 35 small temples attracts staggering numbers each year, being the main point of pilgrimage for Balinese Hindus. Steps ascend through split gates to the main courtyard where the Trinity shrines, dedicated to Shiva, Brahma, and Vishnu, are wrapped in cloth and decorated with flower offerings. There are number of temples but many of their inner courtyards are closed to visitors .

 The Besakih Temple is surrounded by typical East Balinese scenery without and development and completely undisturbed of scenes of rice paddies stretching across the hills with mountains in the background and streams that run the full way down. It is likely that the area of Besakih has been sacred since long before recorded Balinese history due to the presence of Pura Batu Madeg, a stone temple that has been long standing in the area. The Besakih Temple became even more important in 1343 when it became he administrative center for the Klungkung regency during the conquering of Bali by the Majapahit dynasty. The Besakih Temple was later damaged by earthquakes of 1917 and then rebuilt by the Dutch in 1932 during their influence upon Bali as one of the more positive effects.

iIt owns beautiful view from the top of temple area where we can see the wide nature panorama until to the ocean so that way this temple is many visited by tourists from all over the world. Besakih Temple is located in Besakih countryside, Rendang sub district, Karangasem regency, east part of the island. 

Tampak Siring

Places of interest :: Tampak Siring is one of tourist places and destination in Bali, it is popular with Tita Empul, it is the real name of the temple and it is water springs, below is the information.
Tita Empul is the real name of the temple and it is water springs. But more people prefer calling it Tampaksiring. It is one of tourist destination in Bali, located in Tampak Siring Village, Gianyar regency and it is about 39 km eastwards from Denpasar town. The holy spring in the inner courtyard of the Tirta Empul in Tampak Siring is said to have magical curative powers. There are special bathing pools where clear cool water spouts from mossy walls. Legend was that the spring by piercing the ground in search of holy water to revive his dying army. The sacred spring of Tirta Empul is situated here and revered by all Balinese.

The Tirta Empul is unlike any of the other temples for this reason and has one of the oldest histories of all the temples in Bali. It is said that it was first deemed holy in 882 by king Indrajayasinghawarmadewa who first began to develop the temple that you see today. The water was said to be the definitive creation as it was fresh, clean and was rising out of the ground itself. The understanding was that all of the water in the world originates from this source or at least that it was extremely important for the life of the island


According to the old papyrus of Usana, it is said that the Tirta Empul was created by Bhatara Indra (sun deity) who was a very miraculous king known to perform miracles throughout his life and at a whim. He was also a very arrogant man who referred to himself as a God although there were people who followed this belief and to this day he is recognized as an extremely holy person.

According to the stone document that read by DR. Stutterheim this temple was built in 960 AD, and there are fine carvings and Garudas on the courtyard buildings. The temple and its two bathing spots have been used by the Balinese for over a thousand years for good health and prosperity, as the spring water really does have the power to cure. An archaeological complex lies on gorge of Pakerisan River. To reach the complex visitors must walk about 600 meters from the parking area to the ticket counter than walked down on 315 stone steps. Before take a cross on the bridge at the bottom of the valley make a turn to the left to see the first stone monument. Another group of stone monument is located on the left side of the main temple across of the river.

Closed to the springs on hill, there is a place of the first President of Indonesia Soekarno and formely was the rest house of Dutch Colonial officers.

GWK (Garuda Wisnu Kencana)

Dominating the park is Wisnu , a bust of a Hindu deity constructed from giants slabs of copper and brass. Representing the divine force responsible for the protection of the universe, the 22 meter Wisnu figure is a modern rendering of an ancient cultural tradition. The companion piece, Garuda , represent the giant bird which transports Wisnu, a symbol of both freedom and selfless devotion.

The two 25-meter natural limestone pillars comprising the Gapura Batu , at the entrance gate to the complex, are carved with images taken from the Ramayana, the Mythical cycle of stories forming the dramatic basis of most Balinese art forms. The base-relief carving on the gate depict scenes from the Wayang, the shadow puppet theatre unique to Bali and neighbouring Java .

With little rainfall and open to fresh tropical breezes, GWK facilities are ideal for all types of outdoor events. The first-class acoustic environment of the 800-seat Amphitheatre is a peerless venue for intimate cultural performances. Enclosed by enormous limestone pillars with the Wisnu figure as a backdrop, the dramatic Lotus Pond area has a capacity for 7500 persons. Like the ceremonial boulevard of a Balinese village, the Street Theatre is suitable for processions, fashion shows, and other mobile performances. The most intimate space, the Plaza Kura Kura , can hold200 people. Kintamani

Kintamani is one of famous tourist object in Bali, perched in center part of paradise island on Bangli Regency. Kintamani is located in the north of Bali and in the locale of the volcano Mount Batur and its beautiful expanse of fresh water lake . The spectacular mountainous region around Kintamani - with its deep crater lake and bubbling hot springs make this region a must on any Bali itinerary. Lake Batur is the largest lake in Bali and the region offers some of the most spectacular views to be found anywhere on the island. Lake Batur also provides water for an underground network of streams and springs across the southern slopes of the mountain. This district is the earliest known Kingdom in Bali, dating from the 10th Century. The evening can get cool up here but it's well worth the stay overnight to climb the volcano and watch the sun rises.




It is not just the scenery that is beautiful and serine in Kintamani there is also a beautiful little culture that consists of the six different villages known as the Age villages (pronounced a- gee) that are spread around the crater of the Mount Batur. These villages are all different to any of the villages in Bali and collectively only accommodation 15,000 people who are mainly farmers and workers of the land. There are some very interesting fabric designs and cloths that can be purchased from the markets of these towns and each one has a totally different feel and will welcome you whole heartedly to look around the area.


There are also a few important temples that guard the volcano from the evil spirits and there are many ceremonies that are in place to appease these spirits ensure the safety of the people of the island. There are also some amazing myths and legends connecting the volcano and its surrounding area which is hardly surprising since Mont Batur has erupted 24 times in the last 200 years and has repeatedly damaged and destroyed the surrounding areas including the villages and temples of the area. The volcano is still active to this day although another eruption is not expected.

Batur Lake is the old crater of Mount Batur, a still active volcano next to it. It is located on the northern part of Bali. The largest lake overshadowed by the active volcano is located in Bangli Regency, at the northeast of Bali. Batur Lake is the widest lake in this island. It lies down in the feet of Mount Batur and Mount Abang. The lake is classified as a "neutral-dilute" lake because there is no known underlying hydrothermal activity, and the abundant rainfall more than quenches any such activity. There is a hot spring right by the lake. We can enjoy the spectacular scenery of Batur Lake from Kintamani. Mount Batur itself is actually just a small volcano, but sets in the heart of a huge crater 14km in diameter.

Lovina Beach

Tegalalang Bali

Tegalalang Rice village located on the north-south road from Kintamani and Ubud. Tegalalang countryside is located at 5 km northern part of Ubud Village. Sanur Beach

Sanur Beach is a place of wayfaring famous tourist island of Bali. This place is located just east of Denpasar, the capital of Bali. Sanur was in Badung regency.

 

Sanur Beach in particular is the location for surfing (surfing). Especially the surf beach of Sanur is famous among foreign tourists. Not far off Sanur Beach there are also dive and snorkel sites. Because of his condition were friendly, the location of these submarines can be used by divers of all levels of expertise.

Sanur Beach is also known as Sunrise beach (sunrise beach) as opposed to from Kuta Beach.

Pura Uluwatu Temple

Luhur Uluwatu Temple or Pura Uluwatu temple is located in the region Pecatu Village, Kuta District, Badung.

Temple is located at the southwestern tip of Bali island over the stone bridge and a high cliff jutting into the sea and this is the Temple of Heaven Sad which is believed by Hindus as a buffer from 9 of the wind. This temple was originally used to be a place of worship a holy priest named professor Kuturan 11th century. He lowered the teachings of Indigenous Village with all the rules. This temple is also used to worship the holy priest that followed, namely Dang Hyang Nirartha, who came to Bali in late 1550 and end the journey with the so-called sacred Moksah / Ngeluhur in this place. The word is at the origin of the name Luhur Pura Uluwatu.


 

Uluwatu Temple is situated at an altitude of 1997 meters above sea level. In front of the temple there is a small forest called kekeran base, serves as a support of the sanctity of the temple.

Pura Uluwatu pesanakan has several temples, which are closely associated with temples temples parent.
